This Monday’s Civic Holiday – marked in Peterborough as Peter Robinson Day – will see adjustments to services provided by the City of Peterborough.
Both city hall and the Peterborough Public Library will be closed August 5th.
While the city/county landfill on Bensfort Road and the hazardous and electronic waste depot on Pido Road will be closed, those who normally have their garbage, recycling and organic waste picked up on Monday will be provided that service on the holiday.
Public works, meanwhile, can be reached 24-7 at 705-745-1386.
Peterborough Transit will operate on a Sunday/holiday service schedule. Visit www.peterborough.ca/transit for operating hours and bus routes.
The social services office on Charlotte Street will be closed along with all city-operated child care centres.
Lifeguards will be on duty from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Beavermead and Roger’s Cove beaches, while splash pads will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. with lifeguards on duty at wading pools from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Peterborough Sport and Wellness Centre will be open from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Also open on the holiday, from noon to 5 p.m., is the Peterborough Museum and Archives but the Art Gallery of Peterborough will be closed.
