The Peterborough Police Service ramped up efforts to keep the roads safe over the weekend, conducting three RIDE checks.
The operations took place in Lakefield, Cavan-Monaghan, and a roving check that covered various areas.
In total, 107 vehicles were stopped, with eight drivers undergoing sobriety tests and all passing. However, one driver received a ticket for an invalid permit under the Highway Traffic Act.
Police are reminding the community to avoid impaired driving by planning ahead for a safe ride home and to report suspected impaired drivers by calling 9-1-1.
