Peterborough Police are investigating a robbery at a local bank on Friday afternoon. Officers responded to the scene near Chemong Road and Wolsely Street around 3:40pm, after a man entered the bank, threatened to burn it down, and demanded money. He was given cash before fleeing the scene.
The investigation revealed that the suspect changed his clothes behind another store before leaving the area. He is described as a white male, 40-50 years old, tall, and thin. During the incident, he wore a white plaid shirt, black pants, a dark beanie with a visor, sunglasses, a medical mask, black shoes, and white vinyl gloves.
After the incident, he was seen in a navy or black t-shirt, green cargo shorts, a grey ball cap, black shoes with white soles, and possibly carrying a yellow and pink backpack.
