Gauvreau Accounting Tax Law Advisory has brought back its Gear Up For Good Campaign for a third year, aiming to fill 200 backpacks with school supplies for under-served local children.
Working with Big Brothers Big Sisters Peterborough and the Children’s Aid Society, Gauvreau has set a deadline of August 16 for donations of school supplies.
Those who want to help can do so through the Amazon wish list of items or drop off donations at 150 King Street West, Suite 100W.
Backpacks will be distributed August 24.
Gauvreau CEO partner Robert Gauvreau says bringing back the campaign was a given following the success of last year’s effort.
Noting the goal of 200 backpacks is double last year’s result of 101, Gauvreau assures the goal will be met, one way or the other.
Gauvreau says the firm looks regularly at spearheading local projects – something he sees as part and parcel of its corporate mission.
