The body of a 23-year-old Peterborough man who went into the water Monday evening has been recovered by the OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit.
Next of kin have been notified and the incident is now a Coroner’s Investigation.
Investigators thank the public for their help and patience during this incident.
The situation developed on Monday around 6:50 p.m., when the man went into the water from the shore in Little Lake near the train bridge at Lansdowne and Edward streets. Another friend who had jumped from the train bridge attempted to help him, but was unsuccessful.
The second man was taken to Peterborough Regional Health Centre for treatment.
