A ball python snake reported missing last week in Millennium Park won’t survive our climate.
That’s the word from Bry Loyst, director of Canada’s Dinosaur Park east of Peterborough which is home to some 200 reptiles, including snakes.
The missing snake, which is brown and black in colour and about four feet long, was reported to city police as being last seen in the Otonabee River swimming toward the train bridge.
Loyst says on the off-chance that someone encounters the snake, it’s best to take a hands-off approach.
Loyst adds without firm evidence, he’s skeptical that there is a ball python on the loose.
