With the recently announced dissolution of Peterborough and the Kawarthas Economic Development (PKED), the city is looking closer at bringing all the services in-house.
City councillors will be gathering as General Committee tonight and consider the new service delivery model for economic development and tourism promotion.
According to staff, the new department would have about six staff, plus there would be 4.5 positions to support tourism.
The restructuring would be created within the existing municipal budget, which includes core funding of $1 million to PKED.
