With Peterborough Musicfest set to open in two weeks, excitement is building in anticipation of the 37th season of Canada’s longest running free admission multi-date music festival.
That’s the world from Musicfest board chair Tracy Condon who, like many, is eagerly awaiting award-winning country artist Tenille Townes festival-opening performance June 29th at Del Crary Park.
With country pop singer Lindsay Ell just confirmed for August 10th, there remains two dates yet to be filled on the 16-concert schedule. Condon says that only creates more anticipation.
A longtime board member entering her second summer as chair, Condon says the buzz in the park on concert nights confirms for her that Musicfest remains treasured and needed.
Condon adds that without its sponsors, Musicfest wouldn’t be possible. To that end, she encourages festival goers to give them their business when they can.
