Over the course of many years, musician, comedian and storyteller Dan Fewings entertained thousands of local residents, all while mentoring young artists as a high school teacher.
Now, as he begins treatment this week for cancer, his sons Buster and Coby are asking that his contributions be celebrated in return.
Yes Dan Can, a benefit to help Fewings with costs associated with his treatment, will be held this Saturday (June 15th), 2 to 6 p.m., at the Pig’s Ear Tavern in downtown Peterborough. Among the musical guests confirmed are Greg Keelor, Jimmy Bowskill, James McKenty and Nicholas Campbell.
Buster says the benefit, which has generated big-time buzz since it was announced early last week, is already lifting his dad’s spirits.
Buster expects a few unannounced musicians will make their way to the benefit.
Buster says the response to the benefit reminds him of the impact his dad has had on so many.
Admission to Yes Dan Can is a suggested donation of $20.
