Peterborough’s six splash pads are now open for the season.
Open daily from 9 a.m. 8 p.m. are splash pads at Rogers Cove, Nicholls Oval, Turner Park, Hamilton Park, Barnardo Park and at Quaker Foods City Square.
Two other city splash pads – one at King Edward Park and the other at Kinsmen Park – are undergoing repairs and will open as soon as it possible to do so.
Meanwhile, beaches at Rogers Cove and Beavermead Park are unsupervised until July 1st when the city’s lifeguards report for duty. Wading pools will open later in the season when lifeguard supervision is in place.
