As part of Canada Road Safety Week, officers from the Peterborough Police Service Traffic Unit recently completed a traffic enforcement initiative spanning the City of Peterborough and Lakefield. The operation, aimed at bolstering road safety, took place on an unspecified date.
During the enforcement effort, a total of 27 tickets were issued, accompanied by five warnings. Additionally, three vehicles were removed from the road due to various violations. The infractions included:
- Child Seats: 2
- Unplated Vehicle: 1
- Cell Phones: 2
- Unnecessary Noise: 2
- Suspended Driver: 1
- G1 Driver Violation: 1
- Red Lights Visible at Front: 1
- Emissions Violations: 2
- Speeding: 5
- Driver’s Licence Offences: 4
- Insurance Violations: 3
- Permit Violations: 3
