Peterborough County is honouring National Paramedic Services Week from May 19th to May 25th, celebrating the invaluable contributions of paramedics to community well-being. This year’s theme, “Help Us, Help You,” highlights the essential partnership between paramedics and the public in delivering effective emergency medical services.
Throughout the week, various daily themes will spotlight dedicated team members and innovative programs:
- Tuesday: Safety Day
- Wednesday: Children’s Day
- Thursday: Paramedic Recognition Day
- Friday: Paramedic Recognition Day
- Saturday: Paramedic Remembrance Day
To engage the community, Peterborough County City Paramedics are hosting a “Touch-a-Truck” event today, from 3pm to 5pm at 310 Armour Road (south side, back of building), where attendees can explore emergency vehicles, meet facility dog Charlie, and enjoy light refreshments.
The week is an opportunity for the community to honour and thank the paramedics for their dedication to health and safety.
