St. Peter Catholic Secondary School, renowned for its consistent high fundraising achievements, secured the second spot in the province this year, raising an impressive $44,358.66. Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School followed suit, claiming the 8th spot with $16,902.05 raised. Holy Cross Catholic Secondary School ranked 13th, contributing $14,129.19 to the cause. In a letter addressed to the Board, the Terry Fox Foundation expressed profound gratitude for the support received. “We thank everyone for embodying the values of resilience, determination, and compassion that Terry Fox himself exemplified, and for joining us in our mission to create a world without cancer,” the letter stated.
Stephen O’Sullivan, Director of Education at PVNC Catholic, reflected on the significance of the schools’ efforts, remarking, “This marks a significant stride in cancer research, honoring Terry’s indomitable spirit,” he remarked. “His legacy stands as a cornerstone of Canadian society, and we take pride in the collective efforts of our school communities, both large and small, in support of this vital cause.”
