A 45-year-old Peterborough woman is facing charges following an incident on Monday afternoon.
The incident unfolded when officers on regular bike patrol on the trail near McDonnel and Reid Streets spotted a woman wanted on warrants for assault and failing to attend court.
When the woman saw police, she started walking away in the creek, attempted to climb a retaining wall, and then got back in the creek before she was taken into custody.
While being walked to a nearby road, the woman spat twice at one of the officers, then spat at the other while being placed in the police cruiser.
