The inaugural Women of Impact Awards will see 20 community leaders and visionaries honoured May 30th at Farmhill Weddings in Keene.
The celebration, hosted by Women United – an offshoot of the United Way of Peterborough and District – will feature live music and, of course, the opportunity to meet and mingle with each of the award recipient.
United Way director of philanthropy Anne Ondercin says nominations were reviewed by a committee and then had the tough task of deciding who will be recognized.
Ondercin says Women United speaks directly to what has been a focus for the United Way.
The event, says Ondercin, will be a celebration in every sense of the word.
Tickets to the awards ceremony cost $30 until May 8, before rising to $40. To order, visit www.uwpeterborough.ca.
