The community is being asked for its support in creating a monument to honour those who have died from occupationally related cancers and disease clusters.
About $80,000 is needed to fund the project entitle ‘A Place to Remember’.
Dave Warda with the Peterborough & District Labour Council says progress is being made but there is still a ways to go.
Warda says it’s all about improving culture.
The effort is being lead by the Peterborough Occupational Disease Action Committee.
