Fleming College is set to unveil the talents of its skilled trades students at their annual Welding Showcase this afternoon.
Celebrating the culmination of hard work and dedication, the event shines a spotlight on Fleming’s esteemed welding programs: Welding Techniques and Welding and Fabrication Technician. With nearly 100 graduates emerging annually from these programs, the showcase serves as a testament to their readiness to embark on rewarding careers in welding
Attendees can expect to witness an impressive display of capstone projects, showcasing the skills and techniques honed by students during their tenure at Fleming. From entry-level welding techniques to advanced metallurgy, the showcase offers a comprehensive glimpse into the college’s curriculum.
Welding industry experts, business owners, union representatives, and safety professionals will be on hand to engage with students, providing invaluable insights into career pathways and offering guidance on future job prospects.
The showcase kicks off at 1 p.m. at the Kawartha Trades and Technology Centre, located at Fleming’s Sutherland Campus.
