Peterborough Regional Health Centre (PRHC) has unveiled its ambitious Strategic Plan for 2024-2029, aimed at tackling significant challenges within the healthcare system.
Focusing on growth, innovation, people, technology, and data, the strategic plan sets out ambitious goals to improve patient care. Key commitments outlined in the plan include providing timely and excellent care, fostering a supportive workplace environment, expanding tertiary services, enhancing data analytics capabilities, and strengthening the hospital’s teaching and research focus.
President & CEO, Dr. Lynn Mikula, conveyed enthusiasm about PRHC’s potential to achieve greatness, thanking staff, physicians, volunteers, partners, patients, and families for their input during the planning process.
Robert Gibson, Chair of PRHC Board of Directors, expressed confidence in the leadership team and the organization’s ability to navigate this new era in healthcare.
The plan also introduces a new purpose statement and five values to guide PRHC’s work: acting with courage, embracing the community, finding common ground, leading and learning, and recognizing and appreciating.
