A well-known Lakefield business has announced it is closing.
Rotospa Inc. put out a statement on Wednesday, saying after much consideration it would cease manufacturing as of April 30th.
The note went on to say:
Our team has worked tirelessly to provide quality products and services as we’ve attempted to rebuild Rotospa. We understand that this news may come as a shock, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused. We want to take this opportunity to thank our loyal customers for your unwavering support over the years.
Officials say until the closing date, they will continue to process and fulfill any orders for parts and accessories.
It has been a difficult road for the business after its location on 8th Line was destroyed by fire back in July.
Peterborough-Kawartha MP Michelle Ferreri commented that this is very sad news, and that Rotospa has given so much to our community through countless charities donations as well as the employment opportunities they’ve provided. She added the Rotospa is an affordable, durable and innovative product with international recognition and their closure will be a huge loss to our community.
