Trent University’s historic $100 million Campaign for Momentous Change has benefited from a transformational gift from an alum.
While the amount isn’t disclosed, Martha Wilder’s gift will create an endowed fund to support Canadian history projects and courses, will reimagine an Otonabee College heritage space, and will digitize archival material, including handwritten letters penned by author Margaret Laurence, a former Lakefield resident.
A member of Trent’s Philanthropic Advisory Council, Wilder says ensuring Canada’s stories are never forgotten is her motivation.
