County Council has officially received the final version of the new 2023–2026 Strategic Plan for Peterborough County. The plan introduces updated Mission and Vision statements and outlines Corporate Values, Customer Impact Statements, and Strategic Pillars that will shape decision-making and resource allocation for the next three years. With a focus on collaboration with eight lower-tier municipalities and service partners, the plan aims to fortify Peterborough County’s strength and dynamism. Notably, the plan will undergo annual review and updates to remain adaptable and flexible.
Expressing enthusiasm, Warden Bonnie Clark remarked, “It is an exciting moment for Peterborough County as we adopt a new Strategic Plan to guide decision-making and strategy for the next three years. I am grateful to all who took part in the consultations, including members of the public, council, our valued partners, and for the work of staff who will bring the initiatives highlighted in this plan to life. I am looking forward to the fruits of this new plan as we aim for success in our mission for the benefit of all 64,000 residents of Peterborough County.”
The next phase involves staff operationalizing the plan, identifying key projects, and establishing key performance indicators to measure success. These metrics will be presented to County Council by the end of 2023.
The Strategic Plan is available on the County’s website.
