With Black Friday on the horizon, local shoppers can expect to see a bevy of great deals offered by local retailers hoping to cash in on the Christmas season buying frenzy.
Joel Wiebe, the vice president of communications and government relations with the Peterborough and Kawarthas Chamber of Commerce, says Black Friday success is crucial for retailers.
Wiebe says Black Friday has been increasingly embraced by local retailers.
Weibe says, for many retailers, sales leading up to Black Friday pay for the costs of having a business, adding now an opportunity to pay themselves.
