Peterborough Police officers are continuing to keep a close eye on local roads.
PC Taylor Emmerton says ‘Operation Impact’ focuses on the big four driving offences, which includes distracted driving.
The latest stats show since the beginning of the month, more than tickets have been handed out for people using cell phones have been handed out.
Penalties for that offence include: a fine of $615, if settled out of court, three demerit points and a 3-day suspension.
