Cancer will come up against a formidable foe November 9th at Market Hall when story, song and solidarity combine to lift the spirits of those fighting their own battle or supporting someone who is.
Billed as Cancer Takedown, the show is co-produced by Rick and Amy Kemp. Diagnosed with kidney cancer in 2019, Rick’s battle intensified in 2021 when he was diagnosed with a second primary cancer.
Among those taking to the stage will be actress and comedienne Linda Kash, who has known Rick since her time portraying the Kraft Philadelphia Cream Cheese Angel for a number of TV ads.
Featuring Melissa Payne, Kate Suhr and Rob Phillips, to name a few, Cancer Takedown, assures Kash, will strike the right balance between of being both poignant and uplifting.
When all is said and done, Kash says the audience will be highly entertained.
Tickets for Cancer Takedown cost $39 will all proceeds going to cancer care at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre. Tickets can be ordered online at www.markethall.org.
