Lights, Camera, ACTION: Film Production Shooting Scenes Saturday Morning At The King Street Parking Garage
King Street in and around the parking garage will be home to film production magic early tomorrow (Saturday) morning as scenes are shot for the film version of the Ryan Drake series of books by Will Jordan.
Starting at 7 a.m. and continuing throughout the day, prop guns will be visible as a fight scene between characters is filmed. In another scene, a sniper will be visible on the south side of the parking garage ramp between levels two and three. To ensure safety, a licensed armourer will be on set and city police will be present to assist with crowd control.
Executive producer Carson Manning explains why Peterborough was chosen as a location for the scenes’ filming.
Manning says the Jack Ryan-type series may see more scenes shot in Peterborough.
Manning says Saturday is going to be “an exciting day” for the actors and crew.
As a result of the filming, level two of the parking garage will be closed from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m.
