Peterborough Musicfest had a decidedly local flavour on Saturday night, with Ennismore native Melissa Payne joined by a number of her close musical friends.
Payne, whose fiddle prowess is matched by her singing and songwriting talents, was joined by former Spades front man James McKenty, singer Kate Suhr, and rock-a-billy guitarist Nicholas Campbell, to name but a few.
Payne says the stage has always been her “safe place.”
Reflecting on how far her music career has come, Payne marvels at her progress.
