A popular attraction in the city’s west end is going to be packing up for good.
‘Seasons on Ravenwood’ is known for its elaborate displays around Easter, Halloween and Christmas, as well as converting its front yard into a dinosaur park and even a pirate ship.
The house attracts visitors from all over Peterborough and as part of most displays, the hosts ask for non-perishable food items for Kawartha Food Share.
According to a Facebook post by owners Braden and Jenn Glasbergen, it’s getting harder to navigate through the ‘mean spirited complaints of the individuals who would like to see the “junk yard” displays removed’. The pair thanked everyone who has supported them and say they are going to be eternally grateful, noting they will now be working to bring the property back it its original state.
A petition has been started and gathered nearly 200 signatures, with a goal of ‘letting the owners know there is more people who appreciate them then the few souls who don’t’. For more information, click here.
