The longtime work of Dr. Jenny Ingram has been recognized by Trent.
A specialist in internal and geriatric medicine, Dr. Ingram was one of the people who received an Honorary Degree from the university.
She has been pivotal in the development, funding, and implementation of 12 Nurse Practitioner lead geriatric inter-professional teams in central east Ontario.
She says it was an amazing moment and meant a lot.
The number people in Canada projected to be living with dementia in 2030 is almost double what it is today.
The school says her extraordinary contributions to geriatric medicine, dementia care and the study of aging have impacted healthcare regionally, provincially and nationally.
