Peterborough got a visit from Nate Erskine-Smith, a federal MP who is running to become the next leader of the Ontario Liberal Party.
The 38-year-old is in the midst of touring around the province.
Erskine-Smith says he believes his experience on Parliament Hill will translate into being an effective leader at Queen’s Park.
He says the party needs a fresh face with fresh ideas.
Current MPP Ted Hsu has declared himself a candidate for the top spot, while Mississauga Mayor Bonnie Crombie and MP Yasir Naqvi are expected to formally join the race in the coming weeks.
