Multi–faceted entertainer Ian Thomas, renowned for his contributions to the Canadian music industry, will be making a stop in Peterborough this weekend as part of his Not Gone Yet tour.
The Juno–award–winning singer and songwriter will be hitting the Showplace stage on Saturday along with his four-piece band.
Thomas’ numerous hits include Come The Sun, Right Before Your Eyes, Coming Home, Hold On, Time Is The Keeper, Liars, Back To Square One, Love Ya Too Much, You Gotta Know, One Little Word, Dirty Love, To Comfort You and, arguably his most popular hit, Painted Ladies.
In addition, his songs have received extensive airplay on radio stations across Canada and around the world and have been covered by renowned artists such as Bon Jovi, Santana and Bette Midler.
The Hamilton native also has 22 feature films to his credit as a film-composer, including the theme song for the popular cult classic Strange Brew which stars his older brother Dave along with Rick Moranis as Bob and Doug McKenzie.
To top it off, he is a member of the group Lunch At Allen‘s, who have released five albums and toured coast to coast for the past two decades.
In recognition of his songwriting contributions, Ian was honoured with a National Achievement Award by SOCAN.
