Residents of Peterborough are being invited to attend a public drop–in meeting hosted by City Council and City staff to discuss the 2024 Budget.
The meeting will be held on Thursday, and are in addition to formal Council meetings that allow for public input.
The drop–in meetings will provide an informal platform for residents to share their ideas, and are open to all five wards of the City.
Additionally, a community survey is available online or paper copies can be picked up at City Hall, 500 George St. N. The survey will be open until 11:59 p.m. on Friday.
The City is dedicated to consulting the community throughout the budget process and two more drop–in meetings will be held later in the process when the Draft 2024 Budget has been released.
A report on the proposed guidelines for drafting the 2024 Budget is expected to be considered by Council in June, while the Draft Budget is scheduled to be posted for public review in November.
