As the community deals with the tragic death of a 3-year-old girl hit by a vehicle in the city’s west-end, a Monaghan Ward councillor wants to see some immediate changes.
In a statement on social media, Matt Crowley says he’s demanding the city’s planning and development department place a three way stop at the corner of Oakwood and Woodglade.
During the latest municipal campaign, Crowley says he heard from a lot of residents that the section is referred to as the ‘Kawartha Speedway’ and dangerous driving has been an issue for years and it’s time for intervention.
Meantime, Peterborough-Kawartha MP Michelle Ferreri also took to Facebook to give condolences to everyone impacted by this horrific tragedy.
