Quaker Foods City Square is an all-year community area located on the corner of Charlotte and Aylmer streets, where people can attend community activities, a refrigerated outdoor skating rink, and a water play feature during the spring/summer.
Peterborough is expected to get 10 millimetres of rain on Friday, which will likely require the rink to be closed due to the weather. Warmer weather and sunshine are predicted for the following two weeks, signaling the end of the rink’s inaugural season.
Signs will be posted at the City Square skating rink to indicate whether it is open for skating, closed due to maintenance, or closed for the season.
