Family and friends of the Lacroix family – collectively known as Blake’s Army – are coming together in a very big way in support of a five year old boy battling severe and crippling health issues.
A Benefit For Blake will be held April 15th at Peterborough’s Knights of Columbus Hall, with all proceeds destined to help the family with mounting expenses associated with Blake’s medical treatment and Toronto hospital stays.
Family friend Rose Boutros, one of the benefit organizers, says what started as a simple cold last year resulted in Blake suffering brain damage caused by lesions and epilepsy, leading to irreparable brain damage, paralysis in one leg and ADHD, and recently diagnosed, a rare inflammation that affects his brain and spinal cord.
The benefit, notes Boutros, is an all-ages event with lots going on.
Every cent raised, adds Boutros, will go a long way toward easing the family’s stress and worry during what is a very difficult time.
For advance benefit tickets, phone Boutros at 905-259-8591.
