The Low-Income Energy Network is asking the Ontario Energy Board to reverse its decision to reduce financial aid programs for low-income earners to help pay energy bills.
The Network says the move couldn’t come at worse time with many struggling to pay any bills, especially natural gas which has doubled in some cases.
The assistance was set at $1000 for gas and $1200 for hydro during the pandemic.+
