The third coming of Peterborough Performs: Musicians United To End Homelessness will be staged March 2nd at the Showplace Performance Centre, bringing 15 local music acts to two stages in four hours.
First presented in March 2020, the RBC-presented fundraiser has seen close to $50,000 raised for United Way partner agencies that provide shelter and are on the frontlines of helping the homeless.
Among the featured acts will be Nicholas Campbell and the Two-Metre Cheaters, the rockabilly trio making its first appearance at the event. Campbell, along with his band mates Rob Foreman and Matt Greco, is pumped.
The band, says Campbell, formed in April 2020 as it became apparent that performing live shows was going to be put on hold.
Peterborough Performs, says Campbell, will offer one of the most entertaining presentations of live local music staged this year.
Other featured acts are The Weber Brothers Band, The Hippie Chicks and Jericho’s Wall – the latter reuniting 10 years after they last performed. Tickets are on sale at www.showplace.org.
