While Community Care is fortunate to have more than 700 volunteers giving their time to help seniors and adults with physical challenges, a need for drivers, particularly in the Apsley area, has been identified.
Community Care donor relations and communications lead Alicia Vandine says the search for new volunteers is never-ending as longtime volunteers ‘retire’, noting there’s a role for volunteers of of all ages and abilities.
Vandine says the need for drivers is especially pressing.
Vandine adds Community Care volunteers donate about 89,000 hours combined time annually, noting they take away something from the experience.
