A couple of Trent grads are bringing back a local watering hole.
The historic Pig’s Ear Tavern, which closed in April 2017, is about to re-open this summer after its Brock Street location was recently purchased by Steve Robertson and Ashley Holmes.
Robertson ’93 (Psychology) and Holmes ’06 (Business Administration), along with two other investor-friends, received keys to the building on January 20th.
According to an article posted by the Trent Alumni Association, you can expect an announcement for re-opening plans soon.
The Pig’s Ear, which first opened its doors as the St. Maurice Saloon two years before Confederation, held unique status as a university hangout, hub for the local Peterborough/Trent music scene and long-standing locals pub.
