A Peterborough-native and Adam Scott alum is going to be entering the NFL Draft.
Jared Wayne announced on social media this weekend he will be turning pro, ending his time at the University of Pittsburgh.
Wayne spoke with PTBOToday.ca back in December and credited a lot of local people for his success as an athlete.
The wide receiver finished his NCAA career with 146 receptions for 2,307 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Jared’s father Patrick played eight seasons in the CFL, mostly in Ottawa for the Roughriders, where he was one of their premier linebackers. His uncle Clint was also in the CFL, winning a Grey Cup with the Calgary Stampeders in 2000.
