Collection of discarded natural Christmas trees has begun in Peterborough and will continue until the end of January.
Residents are reminded to remove all decorations from the tree before putting it curbside in a visible location for pickup. Trees put in a bag of any kind, or stuck in snow or ice, will not be picked up.
Public works is asking residents not to call when they have put their tree out for pickup.
Wrapping paper and film plastic, meanwhile, can be placed curbside in a blue box for your regular recycling pickup day.
