Peterborough Petes head trainer Brian Miller has marked a major milestone with another notable landmark on the horizon.
Miller, who joined the Petes for the 2002-03 OHL season, worked his 1,300th game with the club on November 24th in Oshawa where the Petes dropped an 8-2 decision to the Generals. On December 1st at the Memorial Centre, Miller, who started his Ontario Hockey League career with the Guelph storm, will work his 1,500th game when the Petes host the Flint Firebirds.
The significance of both milestones isn’t lost on Miller.
Miller says the seed for what became his career was planted a long time ago when he was studying at Brock University.
Miller says there have been several highlights over the years but working his first Memorial Cup stands out.
Including time he spent as a trainer in the American Hockey League, Miller will work his 2,000th game on January 26th when the Petes host London.
