With Loonies On The Street returning to George and Simcoe streets on December 9th, Kawartha Food Share general manager Ashlee Aitken says the need for cash donations is more pressing than it has ever been.
Peterborough, adds Aitken, traditionally comes through in a very big way each year, in the form of business support and individual donations.
Aitken notes there’s a general recognition that food insecurity affects the broader community and that in itself has led more people to step up to help.
Tune in to Oldies 96.7/Freq 90.5 on December 9th, 7 to 10 a.m., for live coverage of Loonies On The Street.
