Grade one students Canada will receive a book written by Peterborough resident and children’s book author Heather O’Connor.
With support from the Canadian Children’s Book Centre, the annual TD Grade One Book Giveaway was launched November 18th at St. Paul Catholic Elementary School in Peterborough. More than 550,000 copies of Fast Friends will subsequently be distributed to grade one students nationwide.
O’Connor says her book’s central message, which is based on the experiences of her daughter Suze, can’t be understated.
O’Connor adds the age group at which her book is targeted is ideal in terms of the message it conveys.
O’Connor is particularly thrilled her book will be available in formats that are wholly inclusive.
