It is a busy time of year for weekend events around Peterborough and the Kawarthas.
For anyone looking for something to do – here are some of the activities planned for November 19th and 20th:
Saturday, Nov. 19th:
Creative Hands Craft Show – It runs from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at Westdale United Church. For more information, you can contact Makaya Dafoe at 705-930-4243.
Inclusive Sport and Recreation Expo – The event is being held at the Peterborough Sport and Wellness Centre on from 12 to 4 p.m. Learn about the ins and outs of living with disability, take part in and learn more about sports and recreation, and enter to win amazing prizes.
Christmas Bazaar at the Peterborough County Agricultural Heritage Building – This Christmas market offers a fine selection of unique bits and baubles, handmade gifts, and festive decorations to satisfy all your holiday shopping needs. There will also be a craft corner for kids, raffles, a photo booth. It runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
OCAA Volleyball – Fleming College plays on the road against Seneca. The match starts at 1 p.m.
Havelock Santa Claus Parade – The parade starts at 7 p.m. It will leave the grounds of the Havelock Community Centre along George St., head west on George St. to Quebec St., south on Quebec St. to Ontario St., west on Ontario St. to Union St., north on Union St. to King St., and east on King St. back to the arena grounds.
Sunday, Nov. 20th:
Lakefield Santa Claus Parade – The parade will start at 1:00 p.m. on Nicholls Street by the Legion and will proceed to Concession Street then follow Concession to Queen Street then South through the Village, ending back at the Legion.
OUA Volleyball – Trent University is home to Guelph. The match starts at 3 p.m.
Simply Queen – This tribute performs all the iconic songs that have made Queen one of the most legendary rock bands of all time. Showtime is 7:30 p.m. at Showplace Performance Centre.
