A major construction project on Parkhill Road West is starting next year and the city wants opinions on detour routes to handle traffic.
Work between Rubidge and George streets is expected to be closed to through traffic between early spring and late fall 2023.
Residents can review three traffic management options and indicate their preferred option on Connect Peterborough, the City’s online community engagement hub, at www.connectptbo.ca/parkhill-road-west-reconstruction-rubidge-to-water.
Construction will include the installation of new storm sewers, sanitary sewers, water main, curbs, sidewalks, and road paving from Aylmer Street North to George Street North. The work from Rubidge Street to Aylmer Street North will include new water main and road paving, and new surface asphalt from George Street North to Water Street.
Staff says the project team will review and consider all feedback.
In addition to using the feedback options available through www.connectptbo.ca, residents can send information to the project team by email to mcummings@peterborough.ca or by phone at 705-742-7777 ext. 1503.
