Nefab Canada employees have partnered with Otonabee Conservation to plant 80 native trees and shrubs around the perimeter of Dainard Park in Peterborough’s west end.
The added greenery in the park, located off Brealey Drive north of Lansdowne Street West, will maintain current open areas for active recreation as well as enhance habitat for wildlife. The species planted include Eastern White Cedar, Staghorn Sumac and Fragrant Sumac.
Nefab says the initiative “promotes our employees’ passion for environmental causes” as well as highlights the company’s “dedication to conserving and improving the communities” in which it is located.
