Sensing that many Peterborough residents are unhappy with Peterborough’s progress, former teacher Victor Kreuz aspires to be their voice at City Hall as he seeks election as mayor.
Citing concern with the use of entrusted land and park property for council-approved development, and a desire see the former General Electric property decontaminated at the company’s expense and reclaimed by the city, Kreuz admits he hasn’t been out there as much as he’d like to but pledges he’ll ramp things up.
Kreuz admits to having no illusions as to the election results on October 24th but adds victory for him will show itself in another way.
A welfare recipient – he was injured on the job five years ago – Kreuz says if he somehow emerges victorious, that would be quite a story.
Hoping to catch “the imagination of people,” Kreuz says he’ll have a campaign website online soon and will be appealing for financial help.
