Community Care Peterborough is hoping local residents’ ongoing support of Tim Horton’s Smile Cookie Campaign will translate into a huge return.
The agency, which provides essential services to area seniors and adults with physical challenges, has been chosen by local Tim Horton’s owners as the recipient of this year’s campaign proceeds. From September 19th to the 25th, the $1 cost of a chocolate chunk Smile Cookie will go directly to the agency.
Community Care donor relations and communications lead Alicia Vandine is thrilled her agency has been chosen.
Vandine adds any money raised will go a long way toward funding the agency’s Give A Meal and Give A Drive subsidy programs.
While it’s hoped the final tally with be substantial, Vandine says expected heightened awareness of Community Care is priceless.
The Smile Cookie Campaign began in 1996, initially raising money for the Hamilton Children’s Hospital. In 2021, more than $12 million was raised – $70,000 of that total raised in Peterborough, Lakefield, Bridgenorth and Curve Lake.
