The Tim Hortons Smile Cookie campaign is coming up in a couple weeks and this year it stands to benefit Community Care Peterborough.
Locally, if you purchase a chocolate chunk Smile Cookie, the local Tim Hortons Restaurant Owner will donate the full $1 to Community Care Peterborough’s Give A Meal, Give A Drive initiative.
Donor Relations and Community Lead Alicia Vandine says this will allow the organization to subsidize the costs related to these programs so they have affordable options for clients who can pay for them on their own.
The Smile Cookie campaign began in 1996 as a way to help raise funds for the Hamilton Children’s Hospital in Ontario, and has grown to become a major fundraising event at Tim Hortons Restaurants. Last year, Tim Hortons sold a record-breaking number of cookies across Canada over $12M, and locally almost 70,000 – which is something we can all smile about.
