With Saturday, September 10 proclaimed Peterborough Pathway of Fame Day in both the City and County, residents are invited to join in the day-long celebration of the tribute’s 25th anniversary.
Following the morning welcoming of eight new inductees in Showplace’s Nexicom Studio, the main Showplace theatre space, at 7:30 p.m., will be host to A Pathway Celebration featuring musical performances by a number of inductees.
According to show producer and organizer David Goyette, a Pathway of Fame board member, the idea of doing something special to mark the milestone was discussed at length. The result is a celebration that will not only bring superb local talent to the stage but also recognize those who came before them.
Goyette notes for the $25 ticket price, the concert, which will feature the likes of Rick Fines, Barry Haggarty, Kate Suhr and The Weber Brothers among others, is nothing short of a great deal.
Describing the Pathway of Fame as “the repository of the collective will of the community,” Goyette says it remains a vital component of what makes Peterborough a true community.
